About GrayArtWork.com

Originally my portfolio, Gray Artwork was started to showcase my school work done in my early college classes. The website worked well however there was a lot to be desired for content, as are usually the case for online portfolios. Plenty of pieces but too little information.
I revised the website a couple of times each time I put more and more into the graphic nature of the website not wanting to resort to flash a personal discrepancy of mine, I used Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks to make the best and most interesting graphical interface I could.
Later at the beginning of 2008 I began working with KRWG Public Broadcasting at the NMSU New Mexico State University. Where I began working with websites completely different from my own. Entirely based in information and very little in the side of graphics and display of services.
I learned a lot working with all of the people at KRWG and I still speak fondly of the experience.
Afterward however my website has needed to change once again as I am no longer an inexperienced student of web design as I am now a certified Web Designer and Graphic Artist.
Gray Artwork is now my Freelance “store front” if you will where I offer my services in Web Development, Graphic Design, Photography, and Video Editing.

About Me

Born in the mountains of Ruidoso NM I moved when I was young to Las Cruces. Like most children I didn’t think much about what I was going to do with my life. Along the way I was introduced to AMV’s or Anime Music Videos and had become obsessed with the idea of making my own. In high school I met a man who’s livelihood was in film making and thanks to him I was given the tools to do so. He also taught me of web design and online marketing which were a subsidiary means of his livelihood. The combined trades I was exposed to lead me into the direction of computers.
After high school I immediately went into CMT Creative Media Technologies and later a double major in DGT Digital Graphics Technologies. After taking all of the classes I could I interned at NMSU with KRWG.

About My Trade

I’m a firm believer on keeping it simple, the more there is to go wrong the more likely something will. I’ve always thought that less is more and efficiency is king. This reflects in every piece that I’ve made and all of the code that I use. The websites that I make are designed to be self sustaining and beneficial. Simple and reliable, for a reason, tried and tested rather than new and susceptible to malfunction. I also believe that it’s better to make a lot of business and charge fair and respectively low rates than charge exorbitant amounts with little business. I like to work with my clients to make sure both our needs are met, web design and development are not one sided, this is a group effort if it is a good effort.
